Thunderhart Golf Course at Sunny Hill Resort is one of two courses at the Resort. The course is located in Greenville, New York, in the Great Northern Catskills of Greene County. The resorts two courses are the championship 18-hole Thunderhart Golf Course and the 18 hole exective Sunny Hill Golf Course.
Thunderhart opened for play in 1969 with the back nine completed in 2000. The course was designed by Frank Duane.
The front nine provides a traditional golf experience with 3 holes measuring over 500 yards. The back nine was created in the Parkland style, which has each hole cut through the beautiful forest of the Catskills. The course has five ponds that come into play on four holes. This layout was built on mountainous terrain. All of the fairways are dogleg configurations, however, they are wide open. The vistas on this course are beautiful. The signature hole is #5, a 420-yard, par 4.

Some fun holes - fairways a bit hard in hot July, although the greens were fine. Fun 10th hole. Back nine is tighter, and you can drive through some of the doglegs, which is tough your first time on the course. Staff is nice & a good time was had by our 2 groups.
